mid-month check in

Halfway through January already, what! Thanks to my 2024 goals, I have been trying a bunch of things left-handed. Lefty crochet actually turned out to be not as challenging as I feared -- I think it helped that I'm still learning it with my right hand too. I still think through each of the stitches as I do them, so it didn't seem like a huge switch to just change which hand was doing each part of the step.
The natural corollary being: things I don't think about with my right hand (brushing my teeth!!!) have been SUPER CHALLENGING to figure out doing left-handed. Why so difficult, teeth?
Brushing my hair and using lip balm definitely fall into the 'don't think about it' category of tasks, but they've been a little easier to figure out left-handed than brushing my teeth. Coloring and writing are both super fun, and are more like crochet -- I have to think about them anyway. I'm much slower on the left, but I can think my way through it. (Writing is funny because as soon as I stop thinking about it, I start writing the letters backwards, which I can't do when I'm trying. Love that for me.)
Bullet point update:
*So far, my lefty crochet is much neater than my lefty handwriting.
*Coloring lefty is an exercise in patience.
*Turns out I don't use handwriting very much.
