marcicatIt's time for another workplace town hall meeting -- our fourth quarterly town hall since last November!
Okay, PROBABLY the company has decided to switch from a quarterly town hall to a monthly one, but they've never actually said that? We had the regularly scheduled quarterly meeting last November, and then we've just... had another one scheduled each month since then?
Possible explanations for this phenomenon include:
*they didn't think we'd notice
*they're just testing out a monthly schedule and don't want to commit to it
*if they never announce a plan, they can just do whatever and say that WAS the plan
It's a little unusual to have one on a Wednesday -- Thursday is the standard day. When I first got the notification, I thought 'wow, Valentine's Day, that's a choice.' I thought a lot of people might be taking the day off to do things? We got an updated notification later that same day and I figured someone had noticed it was Valentine's Day and had changed the day. But NO! They just adjusted the start time by half an hour.
(IF EVER THERE WAS A TIME FOR THE UPSIDE DOWN SMILEY FACE. THIS IS THAT MOMENT.)
