leap week!

marcicatIt's a leap year, and this is the leap month, and we are now in the leap week! VERY EXCITING TIMES. Unfortunately I am ill, with some sort of sinus thing. I've been using a decongestant for a couple days with mild benefit, but it was from a box that moved with us back in 2021, and is very definitely expired.
It occurred to me that taking unexpired decongestant might work better.
SO! Yesterday I went to the pharmacy and lo! There was the product I wanted, displayed behind the counter. Right next to a sign that said "You must present two valid forms of ID to purchase any products with pseudoephedrine."
"I'm not sure if I have two forms of ID," I said carefully, trying to strike a balance between 'I'm not trying to be a difficult customer' and 'I would desperately like to be able to breathe through my nose.' "What counts as a valid ID?"
Apparently one form of ID is fine as long as it's your license? Or maybe I just looked very pathetic and also like I definitely needed decongestant, and so would probably be unwilling to give up any of my pills to try making meth. I still had to sign my name on a little slip of paper, and when I asked what it was for, I'm *pretty sure* they said that I was being entered in the meth database?
I hope that this box also lasts long enough to expire!
