marcicatI've reached alllllmost 20 inches of blanket so far, which I think is darned good for starting on March 1st. And I ordered more yarn this week (lol, what a surprise) so I should have enough to make the blanket big enough to nap under (the key measurement for blankets).
ALSO I resisted the urge to buy a kit (pattern and yarn) for my theoretical NEXT blanket project, which I think shows enormous self-restraint. (It was a good discount! But I'm trying to be at least a tiny bit realistic about my storage space and my enduring enthusiasm.)
(and also it turns out that the pattern for the kit is available directly from the creator, who happened to note which stitch was used for it in their own description, so if one was inclined, that stitch is also widely shown in free online tutorials... which isn't to say I wouldn't still pay for the kit or pattern! just that videos are generally more useful for me in terms of learning, and I'm probably more likely to be willing to buy something if I've had a chance to test out the stitch first to see if I like it)
