marcicatTime for the workplace monthly meeting! (It's the second monthly meeting this month, which is just -- so great. WHY TWO MEETINGS IN MAY?!?!?!? It's a monthly meeting! The whole point is that it happens ONCE A MONTH!)
Here's the key facts about the monthly meeting:
1. I don't believe anything they say
2. The stated objectives of the company matter very little, since they can and will be superseded by the objectives of the company's much larger 'parent' company, and much-much larger 'grandparent' company
3. Given those first two things, it's much more fun to hear good news than bad news
4. If you stay off video you can often get a good amount of crochet done during the meeting (crochet being an excellent 'just enough physical and mental stimulation' activity for meetings)
5. Attendance counts as a work task for the day
