HALLOWEEN INTENSIFIES
Oct. 29th, 2024 07:44 am*Our area of town started decorating for Halloween a WHILE ago, but I've still been delightedly surprised to see it becoming EVEN MORE this week. More skeletons! More pumpkins! More twinkly lights!
*I especially love the addition of DRAGONS to the Halloween armada. I'm not entirely sure how that happened, but I support it 10,000%.
*(I like to imagine it was something like this: ghosts are Halloween ~ ghosts are representations of death ~ the underworld is a representation of death ~ Cerberus is the guardian of the underworld ~ Cerberus is a mythical creature ~ dragons are mythical creatures ~ DRAGONS ARE HALLOWEEN!!!)
*AND I love that the addition of dragons seems to have allowed in dinosaurs somehow? Maybe on a technicality? I just know there's an inflatable dinosaur wearing a witch hat and holding a jack-o-lantern a few streets over, and it's ADORABLE.
*PS as of this year, we have joined in the SKELETON SEASON with two Very Cute (small!) dragon skeletons that are out in the garden. At least they will be much easier to store in the off-season than the neighborhood Giant Skull Arch. (Seriously, where do they keep that???)
