marcicat: kismet sleeping (kismet sleeping)

they tell me their secrets (will you tell me yours too), by etothepii
Sherlock (BBC), the one where John can talk to inanimate objects (and they talk back)

I *love* the part about John’s computer.

“I’m not letting him in this time! Just like you told me!” shouts his laptop when John walks into the flat with the groceries, and Sherlock looks up at him.

“I see you’ve changed your password,” he says, which is news to John. “Is it no longer your last four phone digits plus the surname of your last serious girlfriend?”

“Might be,” John replies noncommitally (it had been the last time he logged in, which was just this morning to check his email), even as his laptops chirps gleefully the random numbers and letters it’s changed John’s password to.

NOTE: This is bookmarked on my new pinboard account. (So far my biggest qualm with the program is that I can’t seem to remember the name. Pinball, Pinbucket, and Pinup have all been tried at various times, and that’s just today.)

marcicat: keep calm it's christmas (keep calm it's christmas)

(UP) I’m not working tomorrow!
(DOWN) …because I worked all day today instead!

(UP) Lots of customers equals good monies!
(DOWN) Lots of customers equals cranky coworkers!

(UP) Delicious pizza for dinner!
(DOWN) Why am I so weird about food right now?

(UP) Christmas is a week away!
(DOWN) [I am feeling particularly grinchy this year, but couldn't quite bring myself to post up the actual DOWN that popped into my head. Sorry.]

(UP) Finally watched ‘Shoot ‘Em Up,’ years (and years) after it was recommended to me.
(DOWN) It wasn’t very good. Also, while I searched with some small amount of dread to see if there was fanfic for it, the pickings were so slim as to be practically nonexistent. Weird.

(UP) End on a high note, right? Okay. Um. Well, I’m really appreciative today of: @inceptionwips, for tracking bunches of Inception fics. Thank you!

marcicat: drama llama (drama llama)

1. I saw a preview for Tron Legacy last night, and thought ‘gee, he looks sort of familiar.’ Wikipedia provided me with the info that Sam Flynn is played by Garrett Hedlund. Lo and behold, Garrett Hedlund also played Murtagh in the Eragon movie. (And Patroclus in the movie Troy.)

2. No discussion of four-letter movie names that includes Tron and Troy is complete without a shoutout to Thor. Thor will be played by Chris Hemsworth, who also played George Kirk in Star Trek. (Eric Bana, who was Nero in Star Trek, was also in Troy as Hector, the Prince of Troy.)

3. Thor is scheduled to come out in 2011, along with Captain America, both as part of the lead-up to the Avengers Initiative movie. Who’s playing Captain America? Chris Evans, who also played Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four movies.

4. It would be awesome if I could find a way to tie F4 back to Tron, but I’m not that dedicated. But this is why I like movies so much — because the more I recognize people, the more fun the movies become!
