posting from work

I’m on lunch break (where “lunch break” means I already ate my sandwich hours ago, but I’m officially off the clock to use the internet). Posting from work, because although we have heat and light again, phones/cable/internet are still sadly non-functional at home. I miss the internet!

STORM NEWS
There’s a major-ish highway nearby, yes? And they’ve been repaving and stuff all summer, etc, etc. They finally reached the point where the pavement is finished (I guess?) but there are no lines painted. Not to worry — they put all those little reflector things all over the road to mark the lanes and stuff.

Uh-huh. Yeah, how many of those lasted through the plows? NONE. It’s a fun road right now, let me tell you.

How much do I want to blow off the next hour and read gyzym’s new fic? SO MUCH.

I’d also love to go to my pinboard account and peer happily at all the new bookmarks on my network page, piling up for me to read, but I can’t actually remember my login for pinboard, so that’s out.

I really should have brought a flash drive, or possibly my computer, to save stuff. I definitely did not think that far ahead this morning. It’s a Monday; I’m blaming that.

NANOWRIMO UPDATE
Current plan: not doing nanowrimo. If I change my mind halfway through November, I’ll be kicking myself.
