Finished watching The Middleman (all 12 episodes!). Apparently there was supposed to be a 13th ep, which was later done as a graphic novel type thing. I didn’t read it. Instead, I’ll make random guesses as to what *might* happen after episode 12, filtered through my “everything will turn out okay” special filter.
Let me get this out of the way first: I laughed (and laughed, and laughed) when Mark Sheppard appeared. He really IS in everything! He played this dude:

Yeah, that’s his company logo behind him. Pretty creepy and weird. (They’re like Apple, in that they’re a groundbreaking tech company, but they also sell coffee, which is — odd.)
My Random Guesses About Things All Being Okay
1. Mark Sheppard’s creepy-logo company is also the OTSTK (organization too secret to know, the folks who supply all the “Middle gear”). He found out about Tyler’s near miss with Middle-ness, snapped him up as a personal assistant, and keeps trying to engineer ways for Tyler to meet Wendy when they’re both “on duty.” (Because he’s a good guy! He just wants those two crazy kids to make it work!)
2. Lacey takes over as PA after Tyler and Wendy go off to the Clotharian system to see if they can track down evidence of Wendy’s missing dad (those wormholes! so tricky!). She’s great at it, thanks to her years of practice keeping the secrets of everyone in her building, and figures out the whole Middle organization thing in record time. (Possibly there could be some kind of fun fanfic plot device, like her and the Middleman being trapped in a cave or something, and Mark Sheppard would be all “I’m not *actually* running a dating service here!”)
3. Except then he’d realize that maybe that *would* make a lot of business sense, and lo, a new creepy-logo side company was formed, and he’d jokingly ask Lacey if she had any other friends who were looking for work, and Lacey would be all, “Well, he’s not *exactly* a friend…” And that’s how Pip got his happy ever after too.
