marcicat: (badger roses)

Let’s just make it a week of fic recs. That sounds good to me.

I still haven’t seen Zootopia, but that did not diminish my enjoyment of this fic. I haven’t gotten so drawn in by a casefic since I was trying to figure out who murdered Hannah Abbott (A Private Reason for This, by Femme). (Crime stories in general tend to make me sad, but they also often have really good character interaction, so I end up reading them anyway.)

A Mountain I’m Willing to Die On, by Vera

“That’s a lot of together time,” she managed to say. “I mean…a lot. We already spend all day together, eat dinner together most nights. Won’t we get on each other’s nerves?”

“If we haven’t by now, not sure how tacking on a few more hours would make a difference.”

[Note: I read this in a very piecemeal way while I was at work, so I think I missed a bunch of the crime-solving plot towards the end. It did not diminish my enjoyment.]
