nano update day 7

Hmm, well, it was (un)surprisingly a bit difficult to hit the daily goal while on vacation. (But the vacation was awesome!) ((Shoutout to the Pages app on my phone for getting me at least some words every day!))

Word count as of last night: 8000

Yesterday's on-track word count: 10,000

That's -- close? Ish? My goal is to be back on track by 20,000. Probably manageable, although you know, it only really *needs* to be on track by 50,000, so there is that.

Florida ADVENTURE <3

We did not go to the Kennedy Space Center, but we did go to the Kennedy Space Center gift shop in the airport. A thoroughly enjoyable experience! They had Mars Curiosity Rover commemorative coins, which made me tear up because the internet made me love a robot rover, and this is why:

This isn’t a sad story, this a happy story about the ridiculousness of humans and the way we love things. We built a little robot and called it Curiosity and flung it into the stars to go and explore places we can’t get to because it’s name is in our nature and then just because we could, we taught it how to sing.
