HOW WILL THAT HELP? It’s like taking an awkward and nerve-wracking situation and making it a million times MORE awkward and nerve-wracking. Is that the point? Maybe I’ve mis-understood this advice for all this time, and it is actually meant to indicate that whatever you’re about to do isn’t the *most* awful thing — after all, it could be even worse; the audience could be naked.
