**SPOILERS**

(But it’s a prequel? So it’s not like, a total surprise, right?)

1. I’m just going to state for the record that Val clearly faked her death* on the bridge, escaped the planet with Enfys Nest, and lived happily ever after.

2. Speaking of which, I spent the entire movie thinking they were saying “Infants Nest,” like some kind of dystopian children’s brigade. It wasn’t until the end credits that I realized differently.

3. Also, that was a reeeeeeally long pause while Enfys and Tobias stared at each other. I was absolutely waiting for a “she’s your daughter!” reveal. But no. Just a long, awkward silence.

4. You know what movie I want? Lando’s Cloud City escapades. Come on, Disney, give me my ‘Cloud City and the Droid Uprising’ movie!

5. I admit, I was really hoping the Kessel Run was going to be more ‘Fast and Furious’ and less ‘literally just the Star Trek reboot finale, but with a tentacle monster added in.’

6. The thermal detonator rock was A+ though.

7. It didn’t make me cry, so big win on that one.

[*Look, I was pretty unclear on what the original plan was for her to get off the bridge, but this is a movie universe in which people who have been cut in half come back with some prosthetics and a bad attitude, so I don’t think we can rule anything out. Also, after the chipper alien died, what would she stick around for? Certainly not Beckett.]
