‘Muppet Christmas Carol’ ftw
Jul. 15th, 2018 08:03 amI had a great nephew Fred moment yesterday when I was out walking. (In ‘The Muppet Christmas Carol,’ Gonzo says Scrooge’s nephew is about to show up, and Rizzo says, “Nephew Fred? I don’t see any nephew Fred–” And then Fred shows up and knocks on the door.)
And yesterday I was checking out a new trail that was supposed to have two trail bridges and end at a scenic lookout. The two bridges were nothing to write home about, so I had my doubts as I approached the “scenic lookout.” (You never know what time of year someone decided it was scenic, or how much the landscape has changed since the decision was made.)
So I was tromping through a forest that was perfectly average, but not really rising to the level of scenic, thinking ‘scenic outlook; I don’t see any scenic outlook.’
And then the trees opened up and WOW. Amazing view across to the state park. A+ scenic outlook confirmed.
