it’s been, uh, a while

Yesterday I mopped the tile floors in my apartment. By square footage, this is a very small area. (Just the kitchen and bathroom.) By the amount of time it’s been since I last did it, you’d think it was something much more. (::cough:: almost four years?)

Here’s the cool thing. It’s done now! Also cool:

1. Four years sets a pretty achievable standard to meet or beat in the future.

2. I gave myself TWO stickers for such a momentous accomplishment (one for each room).

3. It’s been on my mind long enough that it made my start of the year cleaning list, and now I finally get to cross it off.

4. It makes some of the other things left on that list seem easier.

(5. Oh, and also the floor looks good!)
