It's Christmas Fair day! This one is a long-standing tradition -- combination bake sale, craft fair, book sale, and white elephant, all wound through with the smell of coffee and homemade donuts.

Highlights of past Christmas Fairs:

*Waaaaay back, I got *Andrea a candy airplane in the kids room. (Where kids go off without their parents to do "secret" Christmas shopping.) I thought it was pretty much the coolest thing in the world.

*A couple years of thumbprint ornaments (I still have those!).

*Hearing 'Christmas in Killarney' while we were outside -- maybe picking up wreaths?

*The three wall panel decorations currently in my living room came from the Christmas Fair!

*Catnip toys for 50 cents. The cat can sniff them out from anywhere in the apartment; each year he gets a couple more.

The Christmas Fair has featured in at least one of my nano novels, since by this point in the month I've usually reached the desperation point and will write about anything that will help me wring out a few more words. I'm not noveling this year, but who knows? Maybe something will happen that will feature in next year's story!
