post-Christmas check in
Jan. 12th, 2019 06:28 amOutdoor Christmas is over here at the apartment complex, but indoor Christmas (aka people’s door decorations) is still going strong. Lots of people put some kind of holiday decoration up on their door , which I love. And I also love seeing how long they stay up *after* the holidays.
Which brings us to: the 2019 contenders! These are the remaining holiday door decorations, as of last night when I got back from work:
1. The red berry wreath. This was 2018’s winner for longest-displayed, not coming down until MAY. (It still looks great, by the way.)
2. The Christmas bear wreath. A startling late entry, not showing up until December 26th, but historically a strong contestant.
3. The ‘Tis the Season sign. Another classic from last year. Technically speaking, it is always *some* season.
4. The holiday/sports flag. Brand new this year! This apartment has had the same sports team sign on their door since I moved in, but this year unexpectedly joined the holiday decor with a sports team flag that *also* says happy holidays. I hardly knew the place.
