workaday Wednesday
Feb. 27th, 2019 06:15 amSometimes I see familiar cars (okay, license plates) when I’m driving to work, and I think, ‘hey, that’s a car I’ve seen in my workplace parking lot!’ (Very occasionally I actually know whose car it is, even!)
And I think, ‘I should tell them I saw them!’ And then I *instantly* think, ‘wait, no, definitely not.’ Because what if they didn’t want to be seen? What if they were off doing superhero stuff (the X-Men used to drive a car to fights!), or secretly taking night classes, or any of a million clandestine things my brain starts suggesting?
So I never mention it to them. But as a note, if you plan to do something clandestine, vanity plates (or distinctive bumper sticker) are not helpful.
