Apr. 5th, 2021 06:16 amOh my gosh, SUCH weird dreams last night. Among some of the classics (running to catch the bus*, oh no where are my shoes, that kind of thing) there was a hilarious workplace one:
Somehow, the daily team meeting was being held at 9 pm at night, and in the middle of this meeting, one person announced 'after the start of the new year, we'll be eliminating as many meetings as possible to improve efficiency, and going back to doing everything in secret.'
Even now I am lol'ing, because -- with a few minor wording changes -- the company has ACTUALLY announced policies like that in the past, and will surely do so again in the future. They are very good at identifying things like 'sharing information between teams takes up a lot of time' and very bad at assigning an accurate value to that time.
ANYWAY now I am for once looking forward to the team meeting today, just to find out what real life shenanigans it may bring.
(*Kudos to dream!me for remembering the bus number I was looking for, though! Very impressive!)
