I've gone way down the rabbit hole reading fanfic since nanowrimo ended, which is A) a fun way to spend time; B) a way to distract myself from over-focusing on my list of worries; C) an attempt to make my days as full as they were when I was trying to write 1667 words a day, because that was the perfect excuse to not do anything I didn't feel like doing.
I've been trying to trick my brain into getting more sleep with the old 'just get ready for bed early, then you can go back to reading' strategy, but my brain is like 'but wait! when I do that I almost ALWAYS wind up feeling so sleepy that I skip more reading and go right to bed!'
Which is the goal, obviously, but right now my brain is all 'NO SLEEP ONLY STORIES' so I've just been doing the 'one more story? one more story?' thing until it's late. But today is a new day!
