Star Trek thoughts!
Aug. 17th, 2023 07:03 am(I think I need one of those icons for every day of the week. 'Keep Calm It's Only Thursday' 'Keep Calm It's Only Friday' 'Keep Calm It's Only Saturday' It works no matter what day it is!)
ANYWAY, Star Trek! No serious thoughts here whatsoever.
*Cannot get over the fact that in the musical episode, Jim Kirk was like 'I thought maybe it was something you all planned,' re: the singing. (Not an exact quote; I did consider re-watching that part to *get* an exact quote, but that seemed like a lot of work.) Because really? Really??? The crew breaks into song and he's just all 'huh, maybe it's like an Enterprise thing? seems legit' Probably my favorite part of the episode.
*ALSO can I say that watching the season finale with the musical ep songs stuck in my head was surprisingly fun. ("The starship Enterprise / feels electrified / I'm so proud to / be your captain!" We know, buddy. Good job!)
*ALSO ALSO I look forward to any and all fanfic follow-ups to the season. Support the strike, etc, etc. I'd rather writers and actors get paid fairly than get a season 3, but I hope both can happen!
