spaceship weather
Jul. 17th, 2025 07:56 amIt is sooooo hot and humid this week that we've been running the AC units constantly, along with a variety of fans. Which is LOUD. And breezy. And creates a Very Noticeable temperature differential from the front of the house (where window AC units live) to the back of the house (ten steps away, lol).
Anyway, I've dealt with this by pretending I live on a spaceship,* which has been surprisingly fun and effective! Highly recommend as a strategy for dealing with 'inside conditions are not ideal; outside conditions are even less ideal' weather!
(*sure, it sounds silly when I say it like that, but you could call it 'practicing mental reframing of the physical conditions' and it sounds way more like a clever meditation technique!)
