…but I’m not *in* a yellow wood
Mar. 2nd, 2011 09:25 pmAt lunch yesterday, someone asked me where I see myself a year from now. To be fair, I’ve been pestering everyone at work with this question, partially in an attempt to light a fire under some specific folks, and partially to help dispel some of the economic gloom — a sort of, hey, we’re definitely planning on being around next year, yay!
I was surprised to realize that my answer was really ‘I would be happy if most things were pretty much the same.’ I don’t feel like I’m at a crossroads, or a turning point, or a watershed or whatever in my life right now. Which, if I figure just about everything from 1992 to 2007 was transitional, still feels like a startling surprise.
::looks around:: Huh. So this is life — it kind of snuck up on me, but it seems nice.
