I’ve been a little behind on fanfic this week, what with the packing and all. But I did read my town’s email newsletter, which usually contains a feature called “Bits of History” — articles or announcements from newsletters of yesteryear.

This week it was an article from 1893 that included this fantastic quote:

The citizens feel like making it hotter than July sun for
these unkind people, as their ire is justly aroused.
