marcicat | cats are a mystery

Since my cat seems uninterested in taking up bug-hunting as a hobby, I’ve been working to figure out what kind of toys he might like. He is a laser fan (aren’t we all?), but he spends the days while I’m at work all by himself in the apartment, so I want to make sure he has some form of entertainment that isn’t ‘destroying the carpeting.’

This being a cat, it hasn’t worked out that way at all. As far as I can tell, he spends the days sleeping, and then plays with his toys at night, while *I’m* sleeping.

But that’s not the point of this post — the point is the e-cloth for Pets Cleaning Mitt. My cat LOVES this. (Not for washing. Why would I do that?) It lives on the floor in the living room, because that’s how we roll, and what the company calls “the fronded side” is a perfect catnip depository. This is his current favorite toy.

I cannot even convey my bafflement over what my cat likes and dislikes on any given day, but I am SO GLAD he likes this mitt thing. It’s unobjectionable-looking, it’s machine washable, it’s soft and cushiony when you trip over it in the dark — in short, it’s perfect. WHO KNEW???
