not-a-fic-rec Friday

Not a fic rec today, but a shoutout and kudos to AO3’s “subscribe” option. I never used to be a huge fan of reading WIPs as they’re going, mostly because I either a) forgot about them; or b) checked them every day, which was handy for helping me remember them, but frustrating in terms of the number of updates compared to number of checks.

AO3’s handy “subscribe” button makes all that a non-issue! I can subscribe to specific works, series, or authors — and now I get an email alert any time something gets updated, or a favorite author posts a new fic! I love it!

I quite like the 'save for later' option as well, but you have to remember to go back and check it.
