movie review: The Wrecking Crew

(Note: Not a movie about the Marvel villain team of the same name.)

Overall: enjoyable and low-key movie about Tommy Tedesco, session musicians, and the LA music scene in the 1960s and 70s.

Favorite takeaway: One of them said it in the movie, and I can’t remember who — basically, that if you sit at home waiting for the “right thing” to come along, it probably won’t. But if you go out and just do things, and keep doing then, there’s a much better chance you’ll also find the “right thing.” (And in the meantime, you’ll be able to pay the rent, and buy groceries and stuff.)
