I got a humidifier over the weekend, which so far I like! The directions / safety warnings are a hoot — between translation differences and just plain head-scratchers, I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

Particular gems:

# 3 “When the body is inclined, please handle this with the power cut off.”

(It took me a minute, but I think they mean don’t tip it over while it’s plugged in.)

# 13 “Do not operate the unit with an empty water tank.”

(This one — seems pretty obvious, for a humidifier? Also it has an auto-shutoff?)

#6 “Store in original packaging if not used for extended period of time.”

(Okay, first, what’s an extended period of time? Weeks? Months? Years? Second, why the original packaging? Is that just a fancy way of saying ‘in a cardboard box’?)
