you can really see the progression

Someone at work has asked me twice now what I’m writing about for NaNoWriMo. I haven’t come up with a good answer, but it made me think — hey, I thought, I used to have a good answer for that, back when I was writing the first one.

Which made me consider the basic plot summaries for my NaNos so far. (Which in turn made me realize why I haven’t come up with a good answer for my coworker.)

1. ‘Just Another Day’
(A guy meets aliens and helps defend their planet from a monkey coup.)

2. ‘What I Did On My Summer Vacation’
(The interplanetary transportation system breaks down and Harold and Al play host to alien kids for the summer.)

3. ‘The One With The Road Trip’
(They go on a road trip, to recover a missing spaceship.)

4. ‘Now I Can See the Moon’
(They go into space and wait for other people to fix things.)

5. ‘The Dragon In The Room’
(They buy a house and Harold goes to his high school reunion.)

6. ‘NIMBY’
(They get a baby, and a dragon.)

7. ‘Advent’
(Christmas.)
