marcicat | it’s Friday Eve!

I am awaiting the day when I get spoken to at work for calling Thursday ‘Friday eve.’ (Note: I did not start this trend, but I like it!) We are supposed to stay “positive” at all times, which includes not saying things that imply we are looking forward to not being at work.

Several times I have tried to talk this through with my manager. It always ends up some kind of Office Space-esque flair conversation.

It’s not that they want you to *lie* and say that you love work more than anything else in the world if you really don’t. It’s just that if you happened to be the kind of person who loved the company, and prioritized your work over everything else in your life, and you were *happy* to do whatever was asked without questioning or complaining, well.

That would be great.
