Yesterday one of the IT team wandered through our part of the office and announced that they were about to swap out a cable in the server room, and it would probably make the network go down for a minute within the next half hour.

Everyone *extremely* tactfully did not mention that the network has been touchy for days, and that if there was only ONE network interruption in the following 30 minutes, it would count as a minor miracle.
