Movie Review: X-Men First Class

1. I really thought this movie was called X-Men Academy for some reason. Neither that nor the real title actually seem to match up with the content of the movie.

2. OMG they are all so cute. bb!Banshee! bb!Havok! (who may not have ever gotten a code name in the movie, but who cares!) Moira! (who, unlike nearly everyone else, managed to have an actual job!)

3. Yeah, so Charles is kind of a jerk, who has zero boundaries. Like, really, zero. On the other hand, what was Erik going for with the “I’m a Beetleborg now, check out my rockin’ horned helmet”? (and don’t forget the cape!)

4. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone where you are.” Well, thanks, Moira. I guess. But, um, don’t you think they might check his house *first*?

5. I liked the movie a lot more than I thought I would, even though I kind of wanted to cry at the end. (I didn’t, though!) I just — I really want things to turn out better, you know?

6. And they can! We’ll just hit the big red RANDOMIZER button and see what happens next… Oh wait, that’s what they already did to make this movie… Well, we’ll always have fanfic. ::hearts::

4. That's exactly what I thought! The Xaviers are old money, after all, it's not like it's hard to find their incredibly huge mansion...

I really enjoyed the movie, though. My sister and I completely disagree on James McAvoy, who was Xavier - I thought he was really good, she thought he wasn't. But we agree the movie rocked!

I thought he was good too! It was a much more fun movie than I thought it would be!
