marcicatAs of this week, it's official -- same company, new job title! They let me keep the same phone number, but it hasn't meant much so far because I don't currently have a phone.
(The desk is so much cleaner without one! I like it!)
It's temporary, of course. I guess they want people to be able to call each other? Crazy.
But they're switching phone systems, which involves some kind of technological magic beyond my reckoning, and everyone is getting a new desk phone at some point this week. I can only guess that the IT team thought it was ridiculous to give me one phone for a couple days and then swap it to a new one. (True.)
Of course, it's also possible that no one has told them I'll need a phone. (Possibly I was supposed to tell them? IDEK.) Which would really be fine with me, but if that's the case I really should take my phone number out of my email signature...
