more Star Wars thoughts
Dec. 23rd, 2017 07:07 amWhat the heck is going on with time passing in TLJ? When did Poe have time to fix the jacket? When did any of them (except Rey) sleep?
I am basically willing to accept that there was some amount of time between the destruction of Starkiller in the first movie and the evacuation we see happening in TLJ. Rey got a new outfit! There could have been a day or two, while the First Order got themselves sorted out, but that didn't look like a 'we've had a week to get evacuated,' it looked like crisis mode evacuating.
We definitely saw Rey sleep twice. I guess an argument could be made that days are super short on the island? But I'm still not sure how her time there is supposed to match up to what everyone else was doing in this super compressed timeline of the fuel running out.
ANYWAY. That's not important.
What's important is that I almost burst out laughing in the theater when Kylo did his Dramatic Robe Drop. And I was able to find the tumblr post explaining why: #grandma #it’s me #anastastia.
Also important! Post-movie fic rec:
Call and Response, by Lisse
The first answer comes as the Falcon is flying away from Crait at full speed loaded down with the entirety of the Resistance, which - if Poe's hasty headcount is to be believed - currently consists of fifty-seven beings of assorted species, six droids, and a collection of small flappy rodent things, number unknown.
