Weird work question of the day: why is there a nightlight in the meeting room???
In the building I work in, there is a small conference room near my desk. Yesterday I noticed a nightlight has been added.
But WHY?
Important factors to consider:
1. There is an overhead light in the room that is (supposed to be) turned off anytime the room is not in use.
2. The light switch for the overhead light is close enough to the doorway that it can be flipped on or off from the hallway.
3. The nightlight is turned off, and is plugged in about halfway across the room.
4. Neither of the lights turn on automatically.
So in order to see well enough to turn the nightlight on, you would have to turn the overhead light on first. And then — turn it off? Someone wants to sit in there with mood lighting? Is it a feng shui thing? Inquiring minds want to know.
(Inquiring minds want to know if third shift thinks the building is haunted.)
