caturday ramblings
May. 26th, 2018 08:47 amOne of the things in my life that I often find myself weirdly grateful for is my complete lack of “foodie”-ness. Some of the many benefits of having zero foodie qualities:
*The free coffee at work tastes totally okay to me.
*Chicken bacon? Close enough.
*I had a snack bar for breakfast. It was fine.
*The powdered cheese packets in Annies mac and cheese are a perfectly acceptable way to make mac and cheese and you will never convince me otherwise.
*Made one thing on Sunday, took it to work all week for lunches.
*There’s a reason we have the phrase “greatest thing since sliced bread.” Pre-sliced bread is, indeed, pretty great.
*Frozen pizza: A+ choice.
Maybe I am missing out on some unknown world of flavors and epicurean delights. But even when I’ve eaten things that self-proclaimed foodies tell me are amazing, I’m just sort of — ‘eh, that’s nice.’
Everyone’s got their own things, I totally get that. But I just figured I should take a moment to express my gratitude to my body and brain that it thinks free coffee and box mac and cheese are A-OK.
