marcicat | maps are hard

I had a great walk yesterday, and even saw an owl! I also saw two people who passed me on trail (just as I was thinking how odd it was I hadn’t seen anyone for a while, which was a neat coincidence). One of them asked if the trail was a dead end. Thankful for such an easy question, I said no.

Then they asked if the trail went to the farm. Completely baffled, I hesitated. The farm? What farm? Instead of answering one way or another, I told them the trail looped back to the fire tower. (True!) They seemed satisfied with that, and we all carried on.

It wasn’t until several minutes later that I remembered that indeed, the park does border a farm in one spot. In my defense, we were about as far from that spot as you could possibly be and still be in the park. I really hope those two people found a map at some point.
