So I’ve been packing for the Big Hike, and it’s not like I’m going to wear my hiking boots on the Long Drive, so that means I have to remember to bring them.

NOTE TO SELF: REMEMBER TO BRING HIKING BOOTS.

And of course logically the answer would be to pack them, but it turns out the last time I wore them, there was Some Mud. A Lot Of Mud, actually. So they’re pretty grubby right now.

SERIOUSLY, REMEMBER TO BRING THEM.

Which means they’re currently living next to the door, looking all innocent and unforgettable. As if I couldn’t EASILY make four trips out to the car walking directly past them, and still wind up with them mysteriously invisible to me on trip number 5.

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. HIKING BOOTS. REMEMBER THEM.
