come on, feet
Aug. 28th, 2018 05:53 pmWorking backwards in posting — some notes from day 2 of hiking!
Things I learned on this trip:
1. When the trail description says the trail includes “rocky scrambles,” what it means is “very tiring.”
2. When the trail description says you will cross a brook “three times in quick succession,” what it means is “you will cross a brook many times, sometimes close together.”
3. When the trail description says the trail is named after a distinctive visual feature, it does *not* necessarily mean you will be able to see that feature at any point on the trail.
[Also we saw a bird taking a bath in a puddle on top of Mount Jackson, and it was the absolute cutest. Thanks, little bird!]
