winter plants: 2 week update
Sep. 30th, 2018 07:54 amTwo weeks into the great plant over-wintering adventure of 2018, I can report mixed results. The kiwi fern coleus cuttings look spectacular. (They really are the chipperest of plants.) They’ve taken to their new winter pots like champs — leaves look good, they turn to follow the sun, all the positive signs that roots are growing.
The other two are not exactly doing any of those things. The iresine *may* not be totally dead? The persian shield cuttings *look* totally dead, but I’m willing to wait a bit longer just in case. Either way, I started another round of cuttings in water, to see if they like that method better.
