2018 has been the year of clippers! PS I love them. After doing a not-insignificant amount of internet forum reading and youtube video watching, the common sense wisdom seems to be this: there’s really only two options to change how whorls impact your hair: longer, or shorter. And after a few decades of trying longer, shorter’s treating me pretty well.

Here are the top three things I’ve learned about using clippers:

1. It’ll grow back.

2. Just take your glasses off. It’s not like you can really see what you’re doing anyway.

3. Check the color/size guide every time, even if you are 100% convinced you remember what order they go in.
