note to self: deep breaths

Due to environmental reasons (aka: it’s snowing a lot), I am hoping to work from home today. (I would rather go to the office. That’s where the free coffee is. But staying off the roads is likely the smarter choice.)
I figured I should do a quick peek at my work emails and work calendar, just in case there was something in there that would influence my decision. (There was: my boss is off today. Work from home, here I come!)
But yeah, really should never check work emails on non-work time. Ooh, they make me so mad sometimes! I am totally familiar with the ‘I’ll copy everyone I can think of on this email, in hopes that someone may actually be working and will respond.’ It is a legitimate strategy! But it still makes me upset! Why?!
