TFW you've used time travel as a plot device to write a fix-it for a show that also used time travel as a plot device, and now you're rapidly approaching the point where *your* time travel loop is going to run into the *show's* time travel loop, and your strategy of 'I'll just figure it out when I get there' is suddenly looking like less and less of a good idea.

(On the other hand, it's not like I couldn't pull out some other ridiculous plot device, like, say, video chatting with the past. I 100% appreciate that Guardian focused on the character moments, and whatever plot-related gymnastics had to happen in the background to make the character moments happen were embraced wholeheartedly.)

That sounds like an absolutely fascinating story! I can't wait to read it. (Not very helpful, I know, but I don't know enough to suggest solutions! Except for the logical and realistic options like video-chatting with the past, obviously.)
