SEPTEMBER!
Sep. 3rd, 2011 01:48 pmI woke up September 1st and thought ‘I don’t have to write anything today!’ It was a good feeling, especially since a more accurate thought probably would have been ‘I don’t have to feel guilty about not writing anything today!’
So, CampNaNoWriMo has come to its conclusion, and here are my conclusions about it:
1. Doing a NaNoWriMo over two months didn’t seem that much easier, but it did seem a *lot* longer.
2. Replacing pep talks with requests for donations was… less successful than I’m guessing they were hoping. I wasn’t impressed.
3. I may do NaNoWriMo in November too (it’s kind of a thing now), because I’m hoping I will feel re-inspired after two months have gone by. But I don’t think I’d do another summer novel, at least not because of Camp Nano.
4. On the other hand, this seriously boosted my word count for the year, which is pretty awesome. And random. Maybe I should go back and read my fic so I know what happened.
(PS: Tron and Transformers, the last holdouts on fandom inclusion, did ultimately make it in!)
