time to vote
Mar. 10th, 2020 05:43 am*It's town voting day! Time to go vote on things like zoning (three separate articles!) and how to pay for road repairs.
*The weather is approximately ten thousand times better than some town voting days I remember in recent years.
*Voting is always so super awkward. I always feel like a stranger -- I didn't grow up in this town, or go to the school where they hold voting, and I don't know more than a handful of people. (I do actually work with someone who lives in town, but they don't vote, and I'm not sure how many of my neighbors I would recognize in a non-neighbor context.)
*Yet I am going to vote anyway! Because it's awkwardness in the name of civic responsibility, which makes it -- easier? I guess?
*PS, why so many stairs right in the entryway of the school? Is the building not handicapped accessible? I am usually trying not to accidentally make eye contact with any of the bake sale parents or the police officers standing around, but I will try to take note of ramp access this time.
