workaday Wednesday
May. 13th, 2020 05:48 amMy workplace loves to collect feedback, but rarely-to-never does anything about it. (Except collect more feedback. They have straight-up said they will keep collecting feedback until they get the answers they're looking for.) ((I wish I was confident they didn't realize how that would sound.))
This was always baffling to me -- why ask for it but not act on it? Until I finally realized I was focusing on the 'feedback' part, when I should have been focused on the 'collecting' part.
They are *collectors*! All the feedback is going into their collection -- to have the greatest value, it has to remain in mint condition! In the original packaging! It all makes so much more sense now.
