do we still call these lifehacks?
May. 21st, 2020 05:46 amI had some plant fertilizer measured into a small container, from ::cough:: a few years ago. And when I went to take a look at it this week, it was pretty rock-like. I tried the 'jab it with flatware' technique, which was minimally successful. I also considered throwing it away, but then again, I wanted fertilizer, and I HAD SOME, it just wasn't in a super usable form.
But I remembered this happening with a powdered drink mix once, and I had solved the problem by tossing in some silica packets and letting it sit for a day or so. Fun fact: silica packets won't just prevent caking, they will reverse it!
And luckily I have a whole bag of silica packets, because I heard about using them to save your cellphone if it gets wet, so now I have usable plant fertilizer again!
