Sunday six good things
May. 24th, 2020 06:50 am1. Got some mochi ice cream at the grocery store -- cookies and cream ice cream inside an outer dough wrap. I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be delicious!
2. My postage stamps arrived! (Finally! Haha funny story about why it took so long.)
3. Indoor camping! Still fun on night two (much cooler, so I got to use my sleeping bag). I think by tomorrow I'll be ready to put the tent away, but I would call this a successfully enjoyable way to mark the holiday weekend.
4. John Oliver seeming genuinely delighted to have learned about competitive marble racing in Last Week Tonight. (I didn't watch it till Monday; it totally counts for this week!) The whole show is just under 22 minutes, and marble racing makes its appearance at about the 17:30 mark.
5. An absolutely FANTASTIC sign along a section of trail (through private property) that connects a local conservation area to the recreation/rail trail. The sign says 'PLEASE BE AWARE' and then there's a picture of two cute dogs. The next line reads: 'PROPERTY OWNERS,' and then finally: 'DOGS OFF LEASH.' And 1) that's a smart sign to put up, in so many ways, but also 2) it 100% definitely implies that the dogs ARE the property owners, and I love it.
6. Sunshine, and birds singing. <3
