it's a mystery
Jun. 8th, 2020 05:43 amSince I've been driving less, I've also been spending less time trying to decipher license plates, but I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out a local plate that just says: DUST.
It must mean the word 'dust,' right? (As in, not a random set of letters or initials that just *happen* to spell dust.) But why? My associations with the word are basically:
1) That Highlander movie.
2) The canon version of all the daemon AUs, which I have only actually experienced through a movie I mostly remember being sad. (Was Jude Law in it? The internet says he was not, which may mean I am even more confused than I thought.)
3) A chore I gleefully don't do week after week.
So I'm not entirely sure why someone would pick it for their license plate. But I enjoy pondering the mystery!
