pretty sure I'm being punked by the cat

marcicatLast Thursday, for vet-related reasons, I took the nice comfy towel *out* of the cat's crate and moved it into the bathroom. Because, as I told myself, she never goes in the crate anyway! (The bathroom is her designated Recovery Zone whenever such a place is needed; she really likes it in there? I can't explain it. Cats are a mystery to me.)
Of course, OF COURSE, as soon as the towel was gone, where has the cat spent hours upon hours of time? In the crate. Just chilling on the hard plastic, because why not? Is it the novelty? Does it feel cool when it's so hot out? Is she doing it just to baffle me? (I would feelbad worse about it, except it's not like she doesn't have SO MANY other more comfortable places to sleep!)
(Lest you think, as I did, that perhaps it is the TOWEL that was the problem, this morning I stumbled around the apartment for several minutes trying to find the cat, only to realize she was in the bathroom. Sleeping on the towel.)
